ACPS Is “Out of Space,” Needs 60 Homes Immediately

April 22, 2024
The City of Jacksonville’s Animal Care and Protective Services is “Out of Space" and they are urgently looking for foster homes for 60 dogs for six weeks by 4/24.

Learn how you can join the ACPS “Space Force” crew in getting “60 dogs out for 6 weeks” while critical work is being performed on the shelter’s HVAC system. For this work to happen safely, a minimum of 60 dogs must be housed outside of the shelter for the duration.

Dogs eligible to be fostered through the “ACPS Space Force” will be able to go home as soon as fosters arrive. ACPS will provide supplies and support for those who foster. “We need the support of the community in a way that we never have before,” says Chief Michael Bricker.
