History continues to be made at Edward Waters University as the City and University officially opened the new Nathaniel Glover Community Field & Stadium Thursday morning.
More than 4 years in the making, this community-accessible field is a part of the Edward Waters University Community Revitalization Project with an investment from the City of Jacksonville. This facility will provide high-quality artificial turf field and track for EWU, sports leagues and health and wellness community-based events in the northwest area of Jacksonville. Mayor Lenny curry said before the ribbon cutting, "To put it simply: When Edward Waters succeeds, when the New Town neighborhood succeeds, Jacksonville succeeds." Congratulations to EWU faculty, staff, students, and alumni - We can't wait for the first football game this Saturday at 4pm vs. Florida Memorial.
