Majority of Library Locations Opening for inside Service Hours During September and October

Curbside pickup of items on hold continues to be available at 14 locations

Jacksonville Public Library is reopening twelve branch library locations for inside service during September and October. The locations include Beaches, Bill Brinton Murray Hill, Bradham and Brooks, Brentwood, Mandarin, San Marco, Regency Square, South Mandarin, West, Willowbranch and University Park Branch.  Hours for these locations are listed below. Schedules have been set according to resource availability, anticipated demand for services, ability to arrange space for social distancing and voting site considerations. 
 
All precautionary safety measures remain in place. All customers are required to wear masks at all times while inside library buildings. Also required to enter are touchless temperature checks and completion of COVID-19 health screening forms. Additional health safety adjustments have been made to open locations including social distancing markers, spacing of furniture and public computers and other modifications for customer and staff safety.
 
The Main Library continues to provide service Monday – Saturday from 10 a.m. – 6 p.m. and the four Regional Libraries (Highlands, Pablo Creek, Southeast and Webb Wesconnett) continue to offer curbside service 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. M-Sa and inside service in the afternoons (M-Th 1 p.m. - 7 p.m., F-Sa 1 p.m. - 6 p.m.).   • Tuesday, Sept. 8: Dallas Graham and Brentwood Branch Libraries*
  • Monday, Sept. 14: Beaches, Bradham and Brooks and Mandarin (Kori Road) Branch Libraries
  • Monday, Sept. 21: Bill Brinton Murray Hill, University Park and West Branch Libraries
  • Monday, Sept. 28: Regency Square, South Mandarin and Willowbranch Branch Libraries
  • Monday, Oct. 5: San Marco Branch Library
BRANCH OPERATING HOURS (effective on the dates above for the corresponding branches as they reopen):
 
Curbside pickup of holds*:
Monday - Tuesday: noon - 2 p.m.
Wednesday - Saturday: 10 a.m. - noon
 
Inside service hours
Monday - Tuesday: 2 p.m. - 8 p.m.
Wednesday - Saturday: noon - 6 p.m.
  • Masks required to be worn inside
  • Touchless temperature check, and
  • COVID-19 screening questions to enter
* Due to lower demand for curbside pickup at Dallas Graham and Brentwood Branches, those locations will be open for inside service noon - 8 p.m. M-Tu and 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. W-Sa. Curbside service will be available on demand at those locations.
 
Due to space, staffing and voting precinct needs, the remaining four locations without inside service and the 3rd floor of the Main Library will be scheduled to reopen after the November election.
 
All book drops are open for customers to return books and materials. For customer and staff safety, all materials returned are being quarantined for 72 hours before they're checked in and put back into circulation.
 
There are no overdue fines on materials returned by December 31, 2020.
