Hemming Park Announces Events and Programming for October 2019

Celebrate Fall with Friends of Hemming Park

Friends of Hemming Park is proud to host events in Hemming Park located at 135 W. Monroe Street in the heart of Downtown Jacksonville. All activities listed below are free and open to the public.

WEEKLY PROGRAMMING

  • Monday – Friday: Food Trucks and music at Charlie’s CafĂ©, 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. 
  • Monday - Sunday: Hemming Park Kids Zone, 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.

SPECIAL EVENTS

Fall Family Day
Saturday, October 12 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Join us in Hemming Park for FREE fall family fun on Saturday, October 12th! We'll host food trucks including Cackylackys and Pita Dream; vendors, a pumpkin patch, a petting zoo and more! Buc the miniature horse will visit the park from 11 am until 1 pm; the Cathedral Arts Project Orchestra performs at 11:30; Cain’t Never Could is on from noon until 3. Experience open ropes with Jump4Jax from 1 until 3 and free rides on the JTA Skyway all day.

Skyway Saturdays
Saturday, October 12 - Skyway runs from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Take a free ride on the Jacksonville Transit Authority SkyWay and visit MOCA Jacksonville, the Museum of Science and History and the Jacksonville Public Library after attending Hemming Park’s Fall Family Day.
 
Halloween in Hemming
Thursday, October 31st from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Visit Hemming Park during Downtown Vision, Inc.'s "Trick or Treat on the Street" and enjoy food trucks, music with DJ Hustle, Halloween treats and more!

LIVE MUSIC

Enjoy cooler weather with live music every weekday in October, from 11:30 to 2 p.m. Wednesday music is sponsored by Jax Vision Care.
