World of Nations Celebration

The 23rd Annual World of Nations Celebration is Back at Metro Park, With a New VIP Element

The City of Jacksonville invites residents and visitors to Metropolitan Park to join in the 23rd annual World of Nations Celebration. The event offers visitors the opportunity to explore more than 30 countries in a single visit without leaving Jacksonville. A one-day pass is $5.
 
The event will be open to the public on Saturday, May 2 from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m.* and Sunday, May 3 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. During this time, patrons will be able to experience the cultures of 34 countries.
 
In addition, the City will host a Naturalization Ceremony on Saturday, May 2 at 11:30 a.m., during which 50 people will become U.S. citizens. Also on Saturday, a new element will be introduced to World of Nations – Taste the World: A VIP Experience. The $15 VIP tasting experience, being held from 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. includes entry into World of Nations, live entertainment by Spice and the Po Boys, and the opportunity to taste delicacies from up to ten countries. Tapas and samples of cultural beer and wine will be served.
The annual Parade of Flags will be held on Sunday beginning at 2 p.m. on the Metropolitan Park stage.
 
Countries participating in the World of Nations Celebration include: the Bahamas, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Ethiopia, Ghana, Haiti, India, Jamaica, Kenya, Nigeria, Palestine, Panama, Peru, Philippines, Poland, Puerto Rico, Romania, Senegal, South Africa, South Korea, Spain, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, Syria, Taiwan, Trinidad & Tobago, Turkey, U.S.A., U.S. Virgin Islands, Venezuela and Vietnam.
