The City Celebrates Sanitation Workers

Garbage Man Week, June 17 - 24, recognizes the thousands of men and women throughout the nation who affect the health of citizens with a career dedicated to the proper collection and disposal of waste and recyclables.
In Jacksonville, there are 491 Solid Waste Division team members cleaning an area spanning 840 square miles.
