The City of Jacksonville Needs Help Locating D-Day/Normandy Survivors

May 09, 2019
Mayor Lenny Curry and the City of Jacksonville are looking to honor local survivors of the D-Day/Normandy invasions at this year’s annual City of Jacksonville Memorial Day ceremony. (The 75th anniversary of the invasion is just days after Memorial Day 2019.)

If you are, or know any of the brave individuals that served and fought in Normandy who currently live in our area, please reach out to either of the emails below with contact information. We would be honored to host them.

The event to honor these individuals will be in addition to and in conjunction with the annual Memorial Day ceremony at the Duval County Veterans Memorial Wall on Monday, May 27 at 8:30 am.

Please contact Bill Spann at BSpann@coj.net or Harrison Conyers at HConyers@coj.net with contact information.
