"International Surf Day" Beach Cleanup

The City of Jacksonville’s Clean It Up, Green It Up office will partner with the First Coast Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation to observe “International Surf Day” with a cleanup and a paddle out on Wednesday, June 20.
The Beach Cleanup will be held on Wednesday, June 20 from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Litter bags and gloves will be distributed to volunteers at 16th Avenue South in Jacksonville Beach.

Cleanup participants must be at least 18-years old or accompanied by an adult. Remember to wear sturdy footwear and sun protection. Advance registration is not required.

Following the cleanup, surfers are invited to paddle out to the ocean to enjoy the first day of summer.

The cleanup will only be canceled in the event of severe weather warnings.
