40th Anniversary Celebration of Twinning with Murmansk, Russia

The Jacksonville Sister Cities Association (JSCA) will host the 40th Twinning Anniversary Celebration of Murmansk, Russia and Jacksonville.

In addition to dinner and presentations from several JSCA past presidents and Murmansk committee vice presidents whose outstanding work over the years has led to the successful partnership of the two cities, the celebration will also include student performances, artifact exhibits and a raffle.

The Jacksonville Sister Cities Association (JSCA) is the local chapter of Sister Cities International, and has been actively promoting global diplomacy since 1967. The JSCA is currently twinned with eight Sister Cities: Bahia Blanca, Argentina; Curitiba, Brazil; Nantes, France; San Juan, Puerto Rico; Murmansk, Russia; Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality, South Africa; Changwon City, South Korea and Yingkou, China. JSCA also has three Friendship Cities in China: Ningbo, Shaoxing and Suzhou. JSCA sponsors a variety of cultural, educational and professional exchanges with its twinned cities, bringing an international flavor to Northeast Florida while developing important relationships around the world.
