Animal Care and Protective Services (ACPS), along with Friends of Jacksonville Animals (FOJA), will host a day-long adoption festival on Saturday, May 4. The event is part of the shelter’s monthly, first Saturday adoption events, at the shelter facility from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The event theme this month is “Volunteer, Foster and Adoption.” Dog and cat foster parents and volunteers will be on hand to meet the public and anyone interested in fostering adoptable animals. Any cat or dog adoption is $20, which includes spaying, neutering and vaccinations. The adoption fee includes the city license fee.
In addition to FOJA, First Coast No More Homeless Pets, St. Francis Animal Hospital and Pawfection Bakery will participate in the event.
