To add to the festivities leading up to the Florida-Georgia game, the city's Animal Care & Protective Services Division is offering pet adoption specials for all dogs and cats.
All pets will be available for adoption for only $20, which covers the cost of the license fee. That means a savings of up to $80 off regular adoption fees. All animals adopted from Animal Care & Protective Services have been screened for heartworms, spayed/neutered, microchipped and given an initial checkup and shots, including the rabies vaccine.

Animal Care & Protective Services ensures that animals are properly treated and controlled; serves as a resource for the adoption of healthy pets; and implements and enforces laws, regulations, codes and procedures concerning the treatment of domesticated and wild animals.
