Memorial Day Observance Ceremony

Mayor Alvin Brown will be joined by U.S. Rep. Corrine Brown, U.S. Rep. Ander Crenshaw, Navy Rear Admiral Sinclair Harris and a host of state and city officials, and local military and community leaders at Jacksonville Memorial Wall for the City’s annual Memorial Day observance. The ceremony will be to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defense of the nation.
The observance ceremony is free and open to the public. It will feature keynote remarks by Mayor Alvin Brown and Rear Adm. Sinclair Harris, followed by the presentation of wreaths. Family members of two service members who are being added to the Memorial Wall will also deliver remarks. The ceremony will include a flyover and a 21-rifle salute and "Taps."

The Navy Band Southeast and Jacksonville Pipes and Drums will perform patriotic selections during the ceremony, and Phil Stacey, Jacksonville native and national recording artist will sing patriotic songs.

Free parking is available in the west lots of EverBank Stadium and near The Wall.
