Purple Heart Day Ceremony

The City of Jacksonville and the Military Order of the Purple Heart will honor combat-wounded personnel who have served in our nation’s military at the annual Purple Heart Day Ceremony at the Veterans Memorial Wall on Thursday, Aug. 8, at 6:30 p.m. The public is invited to attend.
The ceremony features a keynote address by Sgt. Maj. Rickey Mendez of the Florida Army National Guard, a bell ringing ceremony honoring our fallen heroes and a walk along the Purple Heart Trail.
