U.S. DOT BUILD Grant news conference

U.S. Secretary of Transportation Elaine L. Chao is coming to Jacksonville this week to formally announce the BUILD (Better Utilizing Investments to Leverage Development) grant recently awarded to the City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Transportation Authority (JTA). Joined by Mayor Lenny Curry, Secretary Chao will share how these investments are supporting infrastructure improvements and driving innovation.
 
Awarded in December 2018, the BUILD grant commits $25 million to downtown development efforts including the City’s Urban Core Riverfront and JTA’s Bay Street Innovation Corridor projects.
