The Elizabeth Dole Foundation is partnering with Prudential to host a free financial wellness seminar for military and veteran caregivers, and their veterans of course, in the Jacksonville community. The seminar will take place on April 4 from 6-8pm EST at the Jacksonville Wounded Warrior Project office. Dinner will be provided.

The University of North Florida Military Veterans Resource Center and Community Hospice Veterans Partnership present Remembering Our Nation's Forgotten Heroes, a Korean War Conference. There will be breakfast and a free conference. The program will include:
  • Keynote Speakers: Dr. Henry Moreland (U.S. Marine Corps) and Young Kim (U.S. Army) of the Korean War Veterans Association
  • Video Presentation: Korea: Forgotten War, Remembered Heroes
  • Korean Entertainment and Cultural Educational Moment
  • Panel Discussion: Korean War Veterans Jae Y. Lee (U.S. Army), Dr. Henry Moreland (U.S. Marine Corps), Gene Anderson (U.S. Air Force) and John Printy (U.S. Navy)

HerTOTALWellness is a 6-week program that requires 6 hours a week of your time.  You will have workshops in financial management, business ownership, employment prep, nutrition, credit repair, workplace wellness, VA Claims, journaling, time management, stress management, health and wellness, and self-awareness.  In addition, you will participant in art, gardening, yoga, a weekend retreat, and much more.  Sessions are Tuesday and Thursday, 3 hours each day, 9:30am – 12:30pm. While attending this program, you will have a case manager available to assist you if you have challenges with transportation, rent, utilities, food, clothing, and/or other necessities.

16th Annual USO Troops Championship

The venue is the beautiful Championship Golf Course on Naval Air Station Jacksonville – a demanding 6,890 yard, par 72 that winds through tree-lined fairways complemented with rich blue lakes. It’s one of the finest golf courses in the Jacksonville area and at the top of golfers’ playlist. Registration is 9am, with Shotgun Start at 10am. A continental breakfast, a post-round luncheon is included along with many raffles and prizes for all participants, rounding out a great program and day of fun!

The goal of the Troops Championship is to “sponsor” our local troops with a free day of golf and well-deserved R&R! Approximately half the field is made up of active duty foursomes and it is a wonderful and fulfilling outing in honor of America’s finest that represent Jacksonville so well.
