The State of Florida is responding to COVID-19. In an effort to keep Florida residents and visitors safe and aware regarding the status of the virus, the Florida Department of Health will issue this update every day, seven days per week.

The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone in Jacksonville, FL, will open its doors on March 2^nd, 2020. Centerstone and the Cohen Veterans Network have partnered to offer time-limited, targeted behavioral health care for post 9/11 Veterans and their families. Their skilled clinicians and staff have been trained to work specifically with Veterans and their families, and some are Veterans themselves.

Services offered include individual therapy, couples therapy, family therapy, child and adolescent therapeutic services, groups and workshops. The Steven A. Cohen Military Family Clinic at Centerstone is committed to reducing barriers to care, in doing so telehealth is a terrific option for all clients.

The City of Jacksonville's Military Affairs and Veterans Department, in partnership with the IRS and United Way offers free tax preparation services to Veterans. Please call (904) 255-5551 to make an appointment.

The annual Homeless Veterans Stand Down is being held October 10, 2019 – October 12, 2019. This three day event consists of a Job Fair Preparation Day, Veterans Job Fair, and Homeless Veterans Stand Down.

Many Veterans, with a service connected disability rating, are entering Federal parks for free with the Lifetime National Parks Access Pass from the U.S. Department of the Interior, National Park Service. Good for entry into 400+ National Parks and over 2,000 recreation sites across the country, the Lifetime Access Pass is another way a grateful nation says thank you for the service and sacrifices of Veterans with disabilities. Veterans who have a VA disability rating, (10 percent or higher) are eligible for the Lifetime Access Pass.
