Hours of Operation (seven days a week):
6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. the day prior to Daylight Savings Time change (March - November)
6:00 a.m. - 6:00 p.m. the day prior to Eastern Standard Time change (November - March)

Memorial Day weekend - Labor Day
6:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m. Monday - Thursday
6:00 a.m. - 8 p.m. Friday, Saturday, Sunday & Holidays

Park office and entrance gate closes one (1) hour prior to closing time

Nature Center Hours: 2 - 5 p.m. daily, on season Hours: 2 - 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, off seasonThe Nature Center allows visitors to explore and discover many of the plants and animals they may find along the beach. It offers games, interactive displays, reference books and staff that is happy to show and explain all the items on display.


Closures

Huguenot Park at times experience closures due to high tides, capacity or unsafe conditions. During this period, Management will close the park for admissions and/or for beach driving. The closure of the park is a hard closure which will not allow any visitors, campers or shelter reservations in until the event is over and the park is re-opened.

Seasonally (before Memorial Day and after Labor Day) the north end of the peninsula will be closed to vehicles due to nesting shorebirds protected by the Migratory Bird Act.

Park admission fees - Acceptable forms of payment:  Cash, Credit and Debit Cards:

  • Early bird passes accepted.
  • Active duty military and veterans half off admission with military ID or DD214 ID
  • Pedestrian and bicycle entry  6 a.m. - Close: $3
  • Vehicle entry (up to six people and $1 ea additional person) 6 a.m.- Close: $5
  • Bus fee: $50.23
  • Annual pass: $99.46 (tax included). Annual passes can be purchased online via the online reservation system.

  • All fees listed below include tax:
  • Tent fee per night:  $22.70
  • RV fee per night:  $27.24
  • Pet camping fee: $5.38 per pet, per stay (limit of three pets per site)
  • Electric now offered at all campsites but no water or sewer. Centralized potable water and dump stations are available.

Shelter Fee: $40.85 per day

Wedding/group event fee per day (reserves space for event only) - up to 50 people: $53.50 Vehicle entry fee applies - Vehicle entry (up to six people) 8 a.m.- Close: $5, $1 each additional person

Additional Information

Bird Observation A portion of Huguenot Park is designated as a critical wildlife area for nesting terns and shorebirds. It is roped off to protect these nesters in season.The park is also part of the Great Florida Birding Trail. Click the link to find out more about the conservation effort and types of birds.

Access to the Atlantic Ocean requires driving through extremely soft sand. 4-wheel drive vehicles are highly recommended. 2-wheel and All-wheel drive vehicles should consider parking on Family Beach or in the designated parking areas. Driving on the beach is at your own risk and subject to towing at the owners expense. There are no refunds.


Dog Policy Please note that for the safety of both dogs and their people, day-use customers are not allowed to bring dogs into the park. Registered campers with dogs must make sure they are on a leash and never left alone. Dogs are not allowed on any shoreline at any time in or out of vehicles.

NOTE: March 30, 2022. Mayport Naval Station (located across the river) helicopter training and air traffic can at times be frequent and noisy late at night and early morning. The City of Jacksonville and Huguenot Park have no control over their training schedule.
