The Value Adjustment Board is composed of five members and one alternate member. The Council appoints three members, one being the Chairman. The School Board Chairman appoints two members and one alternate member. This Board hears petitions relating to assessments, complaints relating to homestead exemptions and appeals from exemptions denied or disputes arising from exemptions granted and appeals concerning ad valorem tax deferrals and classifications.
