City To Host Virtual Memorial Day Observance

As the city, state, and nation continue to cautiously reopen in the wake of COVID-19, the City of Jacksonville is hosting a virtual Memorial Day Observance on Monday, May 25, to honor the brave men and women of the U.S. Armed Forces who lost their lives in service to our country.

A workshop for our community White Star Family Members, who have endured the loss of a service member, veteran or first responder to suicide. In a supportive, collaborative space, we will explore various perspectives on healing and transforming from the trauma of sudden loss and grief. Lunch will be provided. This meeting will be a public meeting of The Fire Watch Council for the purposes of gathering public feedback from Duval County residents regarding the multi-faceted Fire Watch plan to fight veteran suicide in Northeast Florida.
