Free Career Counseling for Veterans

The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD), in coordination with the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition (JMVC), will host its free monthly career and employment counseling seminar for veterans and transitioning military members, and their families.

Veterans, transitioning military members, National Guard and Reserve members and their family members who are interested in career counseling, résumé writing help, interview preparation, translation of military skills to civilian jobs and overall assistance in preparing for a successful post-military career.  This event is supported by the Military Employment Advocate for the Department of Defense employment initiative in the greater Jacksonville area.        
 
The City of Jacksonville Military Affairs and Veterans Department (MAVD) and the Jacksonville Military Veterans Coalition (JMVC) are dedicated to helping veterans and transitioning military members connect with veteran-strong local employers.  For more information, please call (904) 630-3680.

The UNF Military Veterans Resource Center is hosting a free workshop for active duty, veterans and military spouses called “Digital Tsunami: How Veteran Entrepreneurs Can Thrive in the 21st Century”. This event will focus on how entrepreneurs can utilize technology to make their lives easier.
The event will be led by a UNF Professor from the Coggin College of Business and is completely free to attendees due to the generosity of an Army veteran named Robert Jacoby.
