City to Celebrate Independence Day with July 4th Fireworks

The City of Jacksonville will present its annual fireworks display in celebration of Independence Day on July 4 at 9:45 p.m. The display will last approximately 12 minutes. Fireworks will be launched from the Acosta Bridge only.
 
The City of Jacksonville will provide audio playing the official firework soundtrack at Friendship Fountain during the show. Other viewing locations providing official audio include The Jacksonville Landing, Riverside Arts Market under the Fuller Warren Bridge, and Unity Plaza. The fireworks will also be viewable from both the North and South river banks, Brooklyn, and some parts of Riverside. The fireworks can also be viewed on WJXT Channel 4. 

Road Closures

The eastern most northbound lane on the Acosta Bridge will close at noon on July 4. The Acosta Bridge will fully close at 9 p.m. and reopen by 11 p.m. At no time will the Main Street, Fuller Warren or any other downtown bridges be closed for the fireworks display.
