The City of Jacksonville will host the annual Florida-Georgia football game on Saturday, Oct. 28 at 3:30 p.m. at EverBank Field where the University of Florida will take home field against the University of Georgia. The annual tradition has taken place in Jacksonville since 1933, and is considered to be one of college football’s most significant rivalries.

“The Florida-Georgia game is a tradition that Jacksonville is honored to continue, said Mayor Lenny Curry. This is not just a game to our residents, it’s a point of pride, bringing community members together to enjoy and celebrate a shared love and history.”

Florida-Georgia weekend festivities will include not only the game, but other events and activities such as the 22nd Annual Florida-Georgia Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony presented by Ruth’s Chris Steak House RV City presented by Coors Light and the Florida-Georgia Fan Experience, a free interactive destination featuring sponsor activations and ESPN’s SEC Nation with hosts Laura Rutledge, Tim Tebow, Marcus Spears and ESPN radio’s Paul Finebaum. In addition, Daily’s Place will host a concert on Friday night featuring the band Brand New. For information, visit DailysPlace.com.

The City of Jacksonville will host six Sideline Safety Zones in the Sports Complex and throughout downtown Jacksonville. The Sideline Safety Zones will provide free assistance ranging from first aid, transportation, local information and directions, telephone service, cell phone charging stations, snacks, water and more.

Due to tailgating and weekend activities, game day traffic is expected to be heavy and fans are strongly encouraged to arrive five hours early. Fans should consider utilizing transportation alternatives such as the JTA Gameday Xpress or the River Taxi. Information regarding pricing, stop locations and other transportation services can be found online.
