While certain parts of our county may be under an advisory, cold rainfall is expected all over the county. This means local roads and bridges can become icy, contributing to extremely dangerous roadway conditions.

In abundance of caution, the City of Jacksonville offices will be closed tomorrow, Wednesday, January 3, 2018 for non-essential employees. Information regarding Thursday will be determined and announced Wednesday.

Citizens who have any questions or reports about bridge and road closures, please contact 630-CITY. They will operate from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. tomorrow.

JSO strongly advises people to remain off the roads. We also encourage citizens to exercise caution when using space heaters and other winter heating appliances. Monitor and care for pets, pipes, elderly and vegetation.
