Teen and adult poets have the opportunity to share their spoken words at the Main Library during this non-competitive open mic event hosted by Lydia Stewart of the Ritz Theatre and Museum.

"Doing Business with Puerto Rico"

The Jacksonville Sister Cities Association will host "Doing Business with Puerto Rico," a seminar designed to improve business opportunities with Puerto Rico.  This event is the first in a series of seminars that will focus on business relationships with other Jacksonville sister cities.

September 11 Peace Concert

The Jacksonville Sister Cities Association will sponsor a local contribution to the worldwide musical concerts held each year on September 11 to advance a more peaceful and harmonious Earth.

TealTown Downtown Block Party

The City of Jacksonville, PRI Productions and the Jacksonville Jaguars are proud to present the TealTown Downtown Block Party, to take place on Bay Street on Sept. 9, 2011. The street festival, which spans from Liberty to Market streets, begins at 6 p.m. and will celebrate the first regular season game against the Tennessee Titans to be played on Sunday, Sept. 11 at EverBank Field.

The City of Jacksonville is proud to celebrate the Jacksonville Sharks as the winner of the ArenaBowl XXIV World Championship. A team presentation by Mayor Alvin Brown will kick off the festivities at City Hall at St. James at 5 p.m.



Jacksonville Sister Cities Soccer Tournament

The Jacksonville Sister Cities Association will host the inaugural "World Cup Soccer Tournament" featuring local teams representing the countries where Jacksonville has partnerned with Sister Cities at Hodges Field at the Bolles School during the last week in July.

City Council Installation Ceremony
