Second Annual "America Recycles Day"

November 15, 2011 - November 15, 2011 11 a.m. - 6 p.m.
Prime Osborn Convention Center
1000 Water Street
Jacksonville, Florida 32202
The City of Jacksonville, Keep Jacksonville Beautiful and Southland Recycling Services will celebrate Keep America Beautiful’s second annual America Recycles Day in Jacksonville with a recycling collection event. In 2010, the partnering agencies collected more than 23,000 pounds of paper, plastic and aluminum products, which is used for the production of new goods instead of going into the landfill. This year, traditional recyclables will be collected along with used cell phones, iPods and chargers, gently worn shoes and teacher supplies.
Parking: directional signage will be posted. Residents may either pull through the loop to drop
off materials or they may park in the main parking area, on the west side of the building along Bay Street, and carry materials to the drop off area.
