After nearly seven years of service to the City of Jacksonville, Chief of Staff, Jordan Elsbury, is set to exit Mayor Lenny Curry’s administration.
 

The City’s Downtown Investment Authority (DIA) was recently honored with the Capital Project/Infrastructure award for its project, Riverplace Boulevard Complete Street, in the 2021 Florida Redevelopment Association (FRA) Awards. The FRA Awards are presented each year at the association’s annual conference and recognize outstanding achievement in a variety of categories, from annual reports to cultural enhancement.

The City of Jacksonville gears up to host the annual Florida-Georgia football game on Saturday, October 30 at 3:30 p.m. at TIAA Bank Field, where the University of Florida will take the field against the University of Georgia.
 

The Jacksonville Environmental Protection Board (JEPB) will recognize winners of the 2021 Environmental Excellence Awards on Wednesday, Nov. 17.

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (October 7, 2021) – Building upon the successes of previous Operation Green Light events, the Duval County Clerk of Courts announces it will be holding a Driver’s License Reinstatement Expo later this month. LET’S DRIVE JAX! will take place from October 25 – October 29 and November 1 – November 5 at the Duval County Courthouse. The goal of the event is to provide a one-stop shop for citizens to work directly with all appropriate state agencies and/or the Court to determine how to reinstate their driving privileges and get back on the road. Participating agencies include: the 4th Judicial Circuit, the 4th Judicial Circuit State Attorney, the 4th Judicial Circuit Public Defender, the Florida Department of Revenue, the Florida Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles Department, the Duval County Tax Collector, and the Salvation Army of Northeast Florida.
