License Your Pet

Did you know that:

One in three pets will get lost in its lifetime.

Most of the lost pets found wearing a tag WILL get home.

Most of the lost pets found not wearing a tag WILL NOT get home.

By city ordinance dogs, cats and ferrets must be vaccinated for rabies and need to have their city license renewed every year. With hurricane season beginning June 1 it is more important than ever that pets be licensed. Duval County is opening up Pet Friendly Shelters for the first time but they will only accept licensed and vaccinated pets.

The city of Jacksonville launched a public awareness campaign to let people know why it is so important to license their pets. Watch for this public service announcement on TV or download it right now.

Remember, a visible ID Tag is a lost pet's BEST chance of getting home.
