Notice is hereby given that on Wednesday, September 17, 2014 at 9:00 A.M., the Jacksonville Port Task Force will hold a meeting in the Lynwood Roberts Room located on the first floor of City Hall/St. James Building at 117 West Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. 

Jacksonville Sister Cities' Annual Peace Concert

The Jacksonville Sister Cities Association will present its annual Peace Concert commemorating September 11. The peace-building event, supported globally by Sister Cities International and the September Concert Foundation, coincides with worldwide musical concerts held each year on September 11. The free musical event will feature choirs from the UNF Chamber Singers, the Douglas Anderson School of the Arts Women’s Chorale and the Atlantic Coast High School Honor Chorus.

The City of Jacksonville and the Jacksonville Sister Cities Association (JSCA) will celebrate the life of Nelson Mandela by sponsoring a fundraising banquet in support of health programs for the citizens of Nelson Mandela Bay Municipality in South Africa. The Honorable Benson Fihla of Nelson Mandela Bay Minucipality, South Africa will be the keynote speaker for the event.

The City of Jacksonville and Keep Jacksonville Beautiful will partner with the Beaches Sea Turtle Patrol for the annual July 5th Beaches Cleanup following the Independence Day holiday.
