Framed photo of Council Member Doyle CarterA fifth generation resident of District 12, Doyle Carter has lived on the Westside of Jacksonville all his life.  First elected to the City Council in the spring of 1999, Doyle served until 2003, before returning to the private sector to devote time to his young family and growing business.  With his children grown and his business sold, Doyle returned to his passion for public service and was re-elected to represent District 12 in 2011.

Commitment to community is a way of life for Doyle and his civic involvement has included:

  • Served on Board for Center of Independent Living
  • Served on Justice Coalition Board

Doyle graduated from Ed White Senior High School and owned and operated Cycle Accessories West, a successful Westside business for over 29 years.  He and his wife Trish have three children, Heather, Meagan and DJ.
