STATEMENT OF NONDISCRIMINNATION


The Environmental Quality Division complies with applicable Federal civil rights laws and regulations, including, but not limited to those identified in the List of Federal Regulations below and does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national origin, age, disibility, or sex. The Environmental Quality Division does not exclude people or treat them differently because of race, color, national origin, age, disability, or sex.

The Environmental Quality Division:
  • Provides free aids and services to people with disabilities to communicate effectively with us, such as:
    • Qualified sign language interpreters
    • Written information in other formats (large print, audio, accessible electronic formats, other formats)
  • Provides free lanfuage services to people whose primary language is not English, such as:
    • Qualified interpreters
    • Information written in other languages

List of Federal Regulations
  • Title VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, which prohibits discrimination based on race, color, or national origin (including limited English proficiency).
  • Section 504 of the Rehabilitation Act of 1973, which prohibits discrimination based on disability.
  • Title IX of the Educations Amendments Act of 1972, which prohibits discrimination based on sex in education programs or activites.
  • Age Discrimination Act of 1975, which prohibits discrimination based on age.
  • U.S. Department of Homeland Security regulation 6 C.F.R. Part 19, which prohibits discrimination based on religion in social service programs.
  • Environmental Protection Agency regulations at 40 CFR 5.140 and 7.95.
