Manatee Protection Plan

The purpose of this plan is to provide protection to manatees at a level determined necessary and based upon a comprehensive understanding of manatee populations, habitat needs, and interactions with humans, in addition to understanding and acknowledging human recreational and commercial uses of Jacksonville's waterways. Information presented in this document includes a series of maps relating to specific locations surveyed throughout the St. Johns River and its tributaries.

These are large Adobe Acrobat files, ranging in size from 3MB to 14MB. If you are using a dial-up modem, downloading these files may take 10-30 minutes depending on the size of the file and the speed of the modem.
