A Family, Health and Employment Fair featuring vendors including Career Source, Baptist Heath South, Family Foundations, Family Support Services, Drug Free Duval, FSCJ-Downtown, Pieces that Fit and Shenergy, will be set up in the Atrium prior to the program.

Last year’s inaugural Women Up! forum focused on issues of importance to local women. The goals were to connect women’s groups within the community, find out what is important to women’s organizations and determine how the Commission can continue to educate and advocate for issues important to women on the First Coast.

For further information or to RSVP please email MCSW@coj.net or visit the Mayor's Commission on the Status of Women.

The Mayor’s Commission on the Status of Women was established as an advisory commission by Mayor Hans G. Tanzler in 1972 and was upgraded to full commission status by Mayor Jake Godbold in 1982. MSCW is currently comprised of 18 members appointed by the mayor to two three-year terms. Its goals include educating the public about women’s issues, advocating on behalf of women, celebrating women and their accomplishments and advising the administration.
