2023 Lifeguard flyer with requirements and hourly pay

Lifeguards Needed! Starting at $14

It's time to recruit lifeguards for City pools.

Jaxparks Aquatics is gearing up for this year's swim season and are looking to hire lifeguards! There are three prerequisite skills that are required to complete:
  • 300 yard swim
  • 2 minutes of treading water without using hands
  • Retrieve a 10 pound brick from the bottom of the diving well

2023 Training Dates:

Full Length Training Classes - All times are 3:30 p.m. - 9 p.m.

  • March 20 - 24 - Woodland Acres
  • March 27 - 31 - Pine Forest
  • April 17 - 21 - Charles Clark
  • April 24 - 28 - Thomas Jefferson
  • May 1 - 5 - Charles Clark

Hybrid Courses - Different times are listed below

March 13th & March 14th, Woodland Acres

  • Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

March 15th & March 16th, Charles Clark

  • Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
  • Sunday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.

March 18th & 19th, Cecil

  • Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

April 1st & 2nd - Cecil

  • Saturday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m.
  • Sunday 12 p.m. - 6 p.m.

Re-certification Course - All times are 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
