Doyle Carter Sworn-In as District 12 Council Member

March 25, 2011
At a brief ceremony immediately preceding the March 24th meeting of the City Council, Doyle Carter was sworn-in as the representative for District 12.  The oath of office was administered by Fourth Judicial Circuit Chief Judge Donald Moran.  Council Member Carter’s wife Trish held the family bible, while daughter Heather and son DJ looked on.
At the beginning of the Council meeting, Council President Jack Webb stated, “I am very very pleased to welcome Mr. Carter back to the City Council.”   While congratulating Council Member Carter, Council President Webb noted that because the District 12 seat was vacant, “Mr. Carter is immediately ready for certification, so he has been certified, sworn, and he’s ready to go to work.”
