Sex Trafficking Survivors Leadership Council Participate in Public Panel: "See Me Now: Human Trafficking Survivor Panel"

Notice is hereby given that three (3) members of the City of Jacksonville’s Sex Trafficking Survivors Leadership Council will participate in a public panel conversation called, “See Me Now: Human Trafficking Survivor Panel” at the “See the Girl Summit” hosted by the Delores Barr Weaver Policy Center on Thursday, October 13, 2022 at 3:00 p.m. The panel conversation will take place at the Jessie Ball Dupont Center, 40 E. Adams Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202. The panel conversation is open to the public and registration is not required.
 
The panel conversation will focus on the voices of Survivor Mentors who work to support survivors of commercial sexual exploitation (CSE) as they build new lives after the trauma of trafficking. The discussion will include Survivor Mentors’ work and experiences with a focus on how to engage, support, and honor the voices of girls and women, survivors of CSE, and their families. The panel conversation will also focus on the unique challenges and barriers to the work and how to overcome them through “The Power of Voice.”

This is not an official meeting of the Sex Trafficking Survivors Leadership Council and no public action by the Sex Trafficking Survivors Leadership Council will take place.
