Homestead Exemption Online Application (2012) If you own and moved into a new home in Duval County after January 1, 2011, you may file for a 2012 homestead exemption today using our new homestead exemption online application. The application will walk you through the filing process and can be submitted over the web.* The deadline to file for a 2012 homestead exemption is March 1, 2012.
If you have moved into a new home and had a previous homestead on another home in Florida in either of the preceding two tax roll years, you may also be eligible for portability– the transfer of some or all of your old homestead's 'Save Our Homes' benefit to a new home. The deadline for portability is also March 1.

*When filing online, some special circumstances may require that additional documentation be mailed to the Property Appraiser’s Office. In these cases, users will be prompted with necessary forms or a list of needed documents at the end of the process.

Mailing Addresses Need to change your tax roll mailing address? You can verify the information on your property by looking it up online using our Property Search.
To update your mailing address we must have a written request, signed by the property owner. E-mail requests are accepted provided the e-mail address matches the property ownership. (Agents-see section below.) Please complete, scan and return the change of address form to: PACustServ@coj.net for homestead properties or PAOLREC@coj.net for non-homestead properties.
Agents sending a request on behalf of a property owner must submit the change of address form and a letter of authorization signed by the property owner. This is accepted by e-mail.
