Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that the Jacksonville area added 20,900 new private-sector jobs in the past year, creating the fourth-highest number of jobs among all Florida metro areas. Jacksonville’s unemployment rate was a low 3.5 percent in August, down 0.7 percentage point from one year ago. Statewide, Florida businesses created 20,000 new jobs in August bringing the total number of new private-sector jobs created in Florida to 1,615,500 since December 2010.

Jacksonville’s unemployment rate was a low 3.7 percent in June, down 0.5 percentage point from one year ago. Statewide, Florida businesses created 16,900 new jobs in June bringing the total number of new private-sector jobs created in Florida to 1,554,800 since December 2010.

Jacksonville’s unemployment rate was a low 3.1 percent in May, down 0.7 percentage point from a year ago. Statewide, Florida businesses created 19,000 new jobs in May bringing the total number of new private-sector jobs created in Florida to more than 1.5 million since December 2010.

The Jacksonville area added 21,200 new private-sector jobs in the past year, creating the third-highest number of jobs among all Florida metro areas. Jacksonville’s unemployment rate was a low 3.5 percent in March, down 0.5 percentage points from a year ago. Statewide, Florida businesses created 12,500 new jobs in March.

Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that JinkoSolar Holding Co., Ltd., a global leader in the solar industry, will build a new state-of-the-art solar panel manufacturing facility in Jacksonville. The new facility will create 200 new manufacturing jobs and will begin production of high efficiency solar panels beginning this year.

Today, Governor Rick Scott announced that the Jacksonville area added 18,400 new private-sector jobs in the last year. Jacksonville’s unemployment rate was 3.6 percent in November, down 1.1 percentage points from one year ago. Statewide, Florida businesses created 13,900 new jobs in November and the unemployment rate remained at 3.6 percent, the lowest rate in more than a decade. Since December 2010, Florida businesses have created 1,465,800 new private-sector jobs.
