Mayor Curry on City summer camps opening:

June 03, 2020
An update from the Mayor on Summer Camps. This message was first reported on May 27, 2020 on a news conference.

For City Summer Camps, we are planning to offer full-time, half-day and full-day drop-in opportunities for Jacksonville youth. Parents, we want to assure you that with all our camps, we are taking measures to protect the health and safety of children, their families, and our City employees.
  • We are reducing camp sizes to 30 participants with a waiting list.
  • Group activities will take place with 10 participants or less.
  • Masks, hand sanitizer and gloves will be provided to all camp counselors and disinfecting will take place daily.
  • Campers will be encouraged to wear cloth face coverings and hand washing breaks will take place every hour.
