JaxParks' 6th annual Art in the Park returns with more partners, more activities and more entertainment for everyone to enjoy!

Art in the Park is a unique, interactive art festival for all ages. Get your hands dirty on the pottery wheel, color your day with paint on paper, engineer a special craft, shimmy and swing with local dance celebrities and much, much more.

When: 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 17
Where: Northbank Riverwalk, 201 E. Coastline Drive (along the Riverwalk between the Jacksonville Landing and CSX.)

The Times Union Performing Arts Center and the Jacksonville Symphony presents instrument zoo, and opportunity for youth to try out various instruments and enjoy the music.

MOSH (Museum of Science and History) is bringing out animals from the museum's naturalist collection for young artist to view... then draw on the sidewalk with chalk.

The Cummer Museum and Gardnes invites everyone to tap into their artistic side. Visit the Cummer's table and fly away with a painted bird - a crayon-resist masterpiece. What colors will you choose? Where will your bird go?

MOCAJax (Museum of Contemporary Art, Jacksonville) is wheeling out a pottery wheel so folks of all ages can practice handling clay. Participants can also learn more about a MOCA studio potters class taking place in October.

Downtown Vision Inc. is helping the environment and tapping into your creative side with lessons in Origami, the traditional Japanese art of folding paper. Participants will learn to fold fun, kid-friendly designs from a single piece of recylced paper; no glue or scissors required.

The Jacksonville Landing will host live entertainment in its courtyard while several of its food establishments will be setup along the riverwalk for your convenience.
JaxParks will offer a variety of interactive stations, including pottery, painting and drawing, traveling keys (keyboard) and crafts.
JaxParks will also host an entertainment area with opportunities for everyone to join in on the experience. There will be belly dancers, jugglers, martial artists, professional cheerleaders and the Aerial Tribe.
