Household Hazardous Wastes
Household hazardous wastes cannot be collected curbside. Residents may take items to the city's Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2675 Commonwealth Ave. Free to Duval residents. Conditionally Exempt Small Quantity Generators, and non-residential customers may also bring hazwaste to the facility for a fee of $4.25 per gallon for flammable liquids or $1.25 per gallon of latex plus a $2 documentation fee. Checks/money orders only to be made payable to Tax Collector.
Hours of operation are Tuesday through Saturday, 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. The facility is closed on Sunday and Monday. For more information or to arrange for special handling of unusual material, call (904) 387-8847.

Mobile Collection Events
Our mobile collection events program has been expanded from collecting household hazardous wastes to include the collection of electronic wastes (e-wastes). Each event is open to all Duval County residents. For information, call (904) 387-8847.

- 20-pound propane cylinders
Residents of Duval County may dispose of burned out CFL light bulbs at the Household Hazardous Waste Facility at 2675 Commonwealth Ave. Call (904) 387- 8847 for additional information.
