Notice is hereby given that the Special Committee on Sports and Entertainment Development Fund will meet on Tuesday, May 14, 2013, at 1:00 p.m., in Conference Room A, Suite 425, City Hall, 117 West Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.   Discussions for the meeting will include follow-up on the Carrier Classic basketball game and discussion of Committee’s goals and timeline.

Notice is hereby given that Council Member Jim Love will host a Town Hall Meeting on May 13, 2013 from 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm at FSCJ / Kent Campus Auditorium (3939 Roosevelt Blvd, Jacksonville, FL 32205). The purpose of the meeting will be to discuss the proposed development and rezoning (PUD) of the property at 4000 St. Johns Ave., Jacksonville, FL 32205 (“St. Johns Village” – located near the intersection of St. Johns Ave. and Herschel St.).

Notice is hereby given that Council Member Bill Gulliford will meet with representatives of the City of Jacksonville’s Office of Economic Development (OED) and Planning Department, as well as, community and civic leaders on Monday, May 13, 2013, at 7:00 p.m., in the Mayport Community Center, located at 4870 Ocean Street, Mayport, Florida 32233.  The meeting is being held to discuss Mayport Village and the future vision for the area.

Notice is hereby given that Council Member Bill Gulliford will meet with members of the Special Committee on Solid Waste on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 4:00 p.m., in the Lynwood Roberts Room, 1^st Floor of City Hall, 117 West Duval Street, Jacksonville, FL 32202.   Discussions for the meeting will include Committee Goals and Recommendations.

Notice is hereby given that Council President Bill Bishop and Council Member Lori Boyer will meet on Thursday, May 9, 2013, at 3:00 p.m., in Conference Room A, Council Offices, 117 West Duval Street, Suite 425, City Hall at St. James Bldg., to discuss the implementation of the Context Sentsitive Streets Legislation enacted on April 23, 2013.

Notice is hereby given that the Metropolitan Park and Urban Parks Ad Hoc Committee that includes Council Members Don Redman, Council Member Dr. Johnny Gaffney, Council Member Bill Gulliford, Council Member Lori Boyer and Council Member E. Denise Lee will meet Thursday May 9 at 11 a.m. in Conference Room A, Suite 425, City Hall, 117 West Duval Street. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss sound issues at Metropolitan Park and other urban parks and future uses for these facilities.

Council Members and the public are invited to attend.
