Daniel Davis grew up in Jacksonville with the desire to one day serve his community in public office. Daniel accomplished that goal in April of 2003, when he was elected as City Councilman, representing District 12 on the Westside of Jacksonville. During his second year in office, Daniel was the recipient of the 2004-2005 Charles D. Webb Award, the City Council's most prestigious internal honor.
Daniel has previously served as Chairman of the Finance Committee and was a member of the Rules Committee, Growth Management Committee and Value Adjustment Board. He was appointed by the Governor to serve on the State Impact Fee Committee.
For the 2006-2007 Council Year, Daniel was elected Vice President of the City Council. He will serve on the Finance Committee and the Audit Committee and will serve as Vice Chair of the Personnel Committee.
